Cookie policy
StatLine sets necessary cookies by default, and asks your permission before loading analytics or marketing tags. This page lists every cookie and tag we use, and who our approved ad-measurement partners are. No Meta (Facebook / Instagram), no TikTok, no Snapchat, no Pinterest, no LinkedIn — tipster content isn’t allowed on those platforms.

What cookies are
A cookie is a small file your browser stores on your device for a website to read back later. They let sites remember you’re signed in, remember your age confirmation, and — when you agree — measure how people find and use the site.
Cookies we set
| Name | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
customer_session | Keeps you signed into your customer account. | Strictly necessary | Session + renewal window |
operator_session | Keeps authorised operators signed into the operator console. | Strictly necessary | Session + renewal window |
sl_consent | Stores your cookie-banner choice (analytics + marketing toggles). | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
sl_age_ok | Remembers that you confirmed you’re 18+. | Strictly necessary | 180 days |
sl_attr | First-touch attribution — the campaign, search term, or ad click ID you arrived with on your first visit. Used to measure which channels bring subscribers. | Marketing (set on first visit, only read after consent) | 90 days |
sl_attr_last | Last-touch attribution — the most recent campaign / click-ID. | Marketing | 30 days |
Analytics and advertising tags (loaded only with consent)
If you click Accept all or toggle on the relevant category in the cookie banner, we load the following tags. Each one lets us measure site use or ad performance; none of them is loaded before you consent.
| Provider | Purpose | Category |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics 4 | Aggregate site analytics (page views, scroll depth, bounce). | Analytics |
| Google Ads (gtag conversion) | Measures which Google Ads click led to a signup or purchase. | Marketing |
| Microsoft Advertising UET | Measures which Microsoft (Bing) Ads click led to a signup or purchase. | Marketing |
| X / Twitter Pixel | Measures which X Ads click led to a signup or purchase. | Marketing |
| Reddit Pixel | Measures which Reddit Ads click led to a signup or purchase. | Marketing |
We also forward successful subscription events to the server-side APIs of these same four partners (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, X, Reddit) so they can attribute the conversion even when the browser tag is blocked. This is described in our Privacy policy §12.
Third-party cookies during checkout
When you go through checkout, Stripe loads within its own secure frame and may set cookies necessary to process your payment. Those are covered by Stripe’s privacy policy.
What we don’t do
- No Meta (Facebook / Instagram) Pixel or Conversions API — tipster content is prohibited by Meta’s gambling policy.
- No TikTok Pixel or Events API — same reason.
- No Snapchat, Pinterest, or LinkedIn ad tags.
- No session-replay tools (Hotjar, FullStory, etc.).
- No data broker sharing or selling of personal information.
Changing your choices
Scroll to the very bottom of any page and clear your cookies (or use your browser’s “clear site data” option) and the banner will reappear so you can make a new choice. We honour the new selection immediately — previously loaded tags stop receiving events.
Managing cookies
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. If you block strictly-necessary cookies, the site will still load but you won’t be able to sign into an account. Browser guides: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.
Changes to this policy
If we add a new category of cookie or a new advertising partner we’ll update this page, surface the change in the banner, and — where consent is required — ask you before setting it.
